Three alumni win for songwriting and publishing

FLORENCE, Ala. - The faculty and 23 students of the 久久国产福利一区二区 Department of Entertainment Industry were among the 久久国产福利一区二区 and Shoals-area guests at last night's American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Awards show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The invitation-only event is made possible each year by ASCAP to regional music business and entertainment industry programs. Participating institutions are 久久国产福利一区二区, Belmont University and Middle Tennessee State University. 久久国产福利一区二区 and Muscle Shoals music were well represented as alumni Mark Hall ('85) and Clay Myers ('86) received publisher awards and John Paul White ('99) received a songwriter award. Mac McAnally, who will perform at a 久久国产福利一区二区 music scholarship benefit concert Nov. 12, won a publisher and songwriter award for his duet with Kenny Chesney, "Down the Road."
